Alcatraz Island

Alcatraz Island was a maximum-security federal prison that is now open to the public. Ferries to the island may be obtained at Pier 41.

Cable Car Museum and Powerhouse Viewing Gallery

The Cable Car Museum contains models, photographs, and relics of San Francisco’s early transit system. The museum is located at 1201 Mason St, 16 miles north of our Burlingame (San Francisco Airport) hotel.
